K-8 School Culture Aide

Role summary

A school culture aide supervises and supports students during non-instructional time at a public charter school. The role involves leading groups during bus rides, lunch, recess and other activities while maintaining high expectations and a positive environment.

The work

• Supervise students during bus transportation to and from school
• Oversee lunch and snack periods
• Manage recess and other non-instructional activities
• Lead groups in a safe, engaging manner
• Support additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with students and leading large groups in a safe, fun setting
• Professional, warm and collaborative approach with students, families and colleagues
• Spanish or Haitian Creole fluency preferred
• Ability to start immediately

Pay and benefits

• $21.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience
